John J. Campbell, 89, of Wilmington formerly of Sharon Hill and Chester died June 21 at home. Mr. Campbell was born in Philadelphia, the son of the late William & Mary nee Coen Campbell and was educated in Philadelphia. He was employed as a truck driver for many years working for Abbotts Dairies Ice Cream Division, Bryers Ice Cream and retiring from Medfords Meats in 1985. After retiring from Medford’s he was a driver for New Castle County, DE delivering food to Senior Citizens retiring in 1997. more…
Steven P. Linck, 37, of Swarthmore died June 17th at home. Mr. Linck was born in Media the son of Paul “Andy” & Catherine nee Deny Linck. Mr. Linck spent most of his life in Delaware County, including Wallingford, Media and Swarthmore.
Mr. Linck graduated from Strath Haven High School in 1989 where he was an outstanding athlete. As a high school freshman, Steve started at center midfield for the Strath Haven PA State Champions in 1986 and later continued to lead Strath Haven to District 1 and Central League Championships. As a result of his high school accomplishments, Steve was awarded a scholarship to Lafayette College and played there from 1990 to 1994. He became Team Captain in his Senior Year. more…
Martha A. “Pat” Maloney, RN, of Aston, 72, died June 6, 2009 at Paoli Hospital. Pat was the daughter of the late Thomas and Martha nee Orr Dewey. She graduated from St. Robert’s School in Chester, Notre Dame High School in Moylan, and Gwynedd-Mercy College with a degree in nursing. Pat lived in Aston for the past 15 years and in Brookhaven prior to that. She was an ER and surgical nurse and Crozer Chester Medical Center for 30 years. She has worked at Fair Acres Geriatric Center for the past 22 years a nursing supervisor. more…
