T. Jack Mayer PhD., 76, of Wallingford, a research chemist, died on Tuesday, September 22. He was born on February 13, 1933 in Bridgewater, SD. The Mayer family came from Russia and Germany around 1865. They were farmers and settled down in the Dakota Nebraska territory. Kenneth D. Falkenstein, 74, a 35 year resident of Brookhaven died September 24 at Crozer Chester Medical Center. Mr. Falkenstein was born in Philadelphia the son of the late Christian William and Ann Yesklowitch and was a graduate of Bok Vocational High School.
Mr. Falkenstein was employed as a Maintenance Mechanic at Kimberly Clark for 35 years retiring in 1999.
He was a veteran serving in the Army and was stationed in Germany and was a member of American Legion Post 926 in Aston. more…
Lois A. Ferreri, 77, of Glen Mills, formerly of Aston, died September 8th at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Mrs. Ferreri was born in Chester, the daughter of the late William and Gladys nee Harmon Cosgrove. She attended Immaculate Heart School, graduating from the former Notre Dame High School in Moylan. Mrs. Ferreri graduated from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Wilmington. She received her Bachelors Degree from Wilmington University and her Masters degree in Nursing Education from St. Joseph University. She was employed as a Registerd Nurse at Crozer Chester Medical Center, Sacred Heart Hospital in Chester, Taylor Hospital, Mercy Haverford Hospital and currently as a Certified Diabetic Educator at Jennersville Regional Hospital, and Riddle Memorial Hospital. more…
James J. Clark of Glen Mills died at home on Sunday September 6, 2009. Mr. Clark was born in Taylor, PA the son of the late James P. and Mary Ann (nee Cavalari) Clark. Mr. Clark has been a resident of Glen Mills for the past 2 years having formerly lived in Wallingford for 50 years. Gerald R. “Jer” Bryan, of Wallingford died on September 3, 2009, in Riddle Memorial Hospital. Mr. Bryan was born in Darby, PA the son of the late Samuel J. and Sarah (nee McIntyre) Bryan. Mr. Bryan attended Interboro High School and was a member of the class of 1968. Mr. Bryan was employed in the Stores Department of Philadelphia Electric CO. in Berwyn, for many years as a supervisor. He later transfered to the Maping Division in Plymouth as a supervisor from where he retired in 2001 after 30 years of service. He has been a resident of Wallingford since 1984. more…
