Carol Ann DeGiulio, nee Antlitz, 55, of Rose Valley, PA died unexpectedly on March 11, 2010 at Crozer Chester Medical Center. She was Development Coordinator for the Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown, PA.

Carol Ann grew up in Baltimore, MD, She attended Nortre Dame Prepartory School and Towson University. In her 20’s, Carol Ann worked at Lavino Shipping in Baltimore, and was Director of the Maryland Psychiatric Association in the 1980’s. She worked at the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematices in Philadelphia and at the Studio in Swathmore in the 1990’s.

She served on the Board of Helen Kate Furness Free Library. She was an active parent at St. John Chrysostom School in Wallingford, PA. She was also a member of the Mothers’ Club at St. Joe’s Prep, the Rose Valley Garden Club and the Rose Valley Folk. more…

Lydia Kyj of Wallingford died on Wednesday March 10, 2010 at her home. She was born in Radymno, Poland into the Ukrainian family of Ivan and Rosalia (nee Skarvinko) Blonarowycz. She immigrated with her husband to the United States in 1949 initially to Calverton, New York and then to Chester in 1951. Since 1963 she has been a resident of Wallingford. In 1954 with her late husband, she opened Kyj’s Bakery on west 3rd street in Chester and for nearly a half-century presided over the daily tasks of operating a successful business. more…
