Cathryn R. Costello died at home on Friday April 30, 2010. Mrs. Costello was born in Chester the daughter of the late Frank and Alberta V. (nee Morris) Carollo. Mrs. Costello attended the Chester public schools and was a graduate of Smedley Junior High School and Chester High School. Mrs. Costello warked as a secretary for the former Ketrick and Son Oil Heat for many years. She also worked for her late husband William Costello who served as the Tax Collector in Upland. more…
Richard B. Welfley of Middletown Twp. died on Thursday April 15, 2010 at home. Mr. Welfley was born in Media the son of the late Benjamin and Margaret (nee Worrilow) Welfley. Mr. Welfley has been a resident of Middletown Twp. all his Life. A graduate of Penncrest High School, he also attended Penn State University. He was a Sales reprsentive for Church’s Auto Parts, in Ridley Park, PA for the past 20 years. He was an avid Tennis and Vollyball player, a long distance bike rider, and a fun loving, witty, and the kindest man you’d ever meet. Rich finally gave up his 4 year fight with advanced Colon Cancer.
He is survived by his wife Susan (nee Seipp) Welfley, Step son Christian J. Brunnquell, step daughter Julie L. Brunnquell, sister Sandra (Ray) Brown. more…
Vito G. DiMaio, 70, a life long resident of Chester died at home on Friday, April 9th after a six month battle with pancreatic cancer. Mr. DiMaio was born in Chester, the son of the late Anthony and Margaret nee Buemi DiMaio. He attended St. Anthony’s School and was a proud graduate of St. James Catholic High School Class of 1957. He graduated from Pennsylvania Miltary College as a 2nd Lt. in the Army. He served in the Army until 1968 being discharged as a Captain. more…

Ingrid Ostrowski of Waymart, Pa., formerly of Swarthmore and Wallingford, PA died on April 5, 2010 at home. Mrs. Ostrowski was born inSweden the daughter of the late Herbert and Karen Osterlund. Mrs. Ostrowski came to the United States to attend College. Mrs. Ostrowski held a Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Scranton. For a number of years Mrs. Ostrowski was employed at the Salk Institute in the Pocono Mountains. She was ameber of the Vikings Nyheter and the Scranton Ski Club. more…
