Anna M. Craggs, 75, of Eddystone died June 25 at Taylor Hospice. Mrs. Craggs was born in Ridley Park the daughter of the late Walter and Mary nee Bulger Barlow. Mrs. Craggs attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help School and graduated from Notre Dame High School Moylan.
She was a resident of Eddystone for over 25 years. Mrs. Craggs was a receptionist at Boeing Helicopter for 22 years. more…
Joseph Sutsko of Brookhaven died on June 25, 2010 at the Belvedere Center . Mr. Sutsko was born in Merion Heights, PA and has been a resident of Parkside for the past 55 years. Mr. Sutsko Retired in 1981 from Congoleum Corporation after many years of service. Mr. Sutsko served in the United States Army during WW II and was a Pearl Harbor Survivor . He was a member of Our Lady of Charity Parish in Brookhaven, and the Parkside Seniors.

Leander T. Ellis, MD of Swarthmore died on June 23, 2010 in Crozer Chester Medical Center. Dr. Ellis was born in Summerland, Miss. The son of the late Leander and Regina (nee Jackson) Ellis. He graduated from High School in Laurel MS, received his B.S. Degree from Hampton Institute, Hampton, VA and his Medical Degree from Howard University in Washington, DC. He completed his Medical Training at Great Lakes Naval Hospital in IL. He served in the US Navy from 1954 to 1957 with the rank of Lieutenant. After discharge from the Navy he did his Psychiatric Residency at the former Philadelphia General Hospital, remaining as a Staff Psychiatrist at Philadelphia General Hospital. Since 1960 he has maintained a private practice in general psychiatry, in Philadelphia. more…
Adalbert “Bert” Piscotty, 83, of Brookhaven, a well-known musician, teacher and member of the Polish community, died June 22 at Broomall Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Marple.
Born in Plymouth, Luzerne County, where he attended Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Grade School, Mr. Piscotty moved to Chester in 1942 and was a resident of Brookhaven for 55 years. Mr. Piscotty earned bachelor of science and master of science degrees in education from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and did post-graduate work at Ottawa University in Canada, the University of Virginia and Indiana University in Indiana County. He was a doctoral candidate in counseling and guidance and holistic health arts, which he studied at Rosemont College in Montgomery County. more…
Elsie B. Olson, 92 of Swarthmore Passed away at home on June 20, 2010 with her family at her side. Mrs. Olson was born and educated in New York City, She was the daughter of the late Paul and Ethel (nee Szasz) Nagy. Mrs. Olson retired to Swarthmore in 1990 to be closer to her family. She was involved in the jewelry business early in her life and then worked as an adminstrative assistant for many years at Phillip Brothers Chemical Company in New York.
While living in New York she was an active member of the First Hungarian Baptist Church of New York, where her mother was of its founding members. She also served as the Treasuer of the Church for a number of years. For the past 20 years she was a member of The Wallingford Presbyterisn Church, more…
