Joseph A. Berrang of Wallingford died on Thursday July 29, 2010 at home. Mr. Berrang was born in Detroit, Mich. The son of the late James S. and Laura (nee McQuail) Berrang. He was raised in Blythe Twp., New Philadelphia, PA and was a graduate of Blythe Twp. High School. A resident of the Wallingford section of Nether Providence Township since 1960 and previously lived in the Holmes section of Ridley Township. For over 30 years he was the owner and operator of Berrang’s Amoco Service Station in Wallingford. Prior to opening the service station he was with Sears where he was the manager in the carpet department. Mr. Berrang was a member of the Delaware County Service Station Dealers Association. Mr. Berrang was a member of St. John Chrysostom Church in Wallingford. A veteran of the US Army, he served from 1942 to 1945. more…
Donald J. Brown of Chester died on Friday July 23, 2010 in Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester, PA .
Mr. Brown was born in Dingmans Ferry, PA the son of the late Russell and Lena T. (nee Dozack) Brown .
He recieved his Elementary Education in Dingmans Ferry and attended the former Nether Providence High School. Mr. Brown has lived in Chester since 1943. more…
Helen M. Klekotka, 71, a lifelong resident of Chester died July 19 at Crozer Chester Medical Center.
Ms Klekotka was born in Chester the daughter of the late Slaney and Helen L. nee Modzelewski Klekotka.
She attended St. Hedwig’s school and graduated from Notre Dame High School Moylan In 1956.
She was employed by First Pennsylvania Bank in Philadelphia for 25 years first as a staff assistant in the Loan Center Division, and then Manager in the Accounting Operation Processing Section and then as Supervisor responsible for Disbursement, settlement and reconciliation of department funds. more…
Michael J. Avicolli of Aston died on Thursday July 1,2010 in Taylor Hospital, Ridley Park. Michael was born in Middletown Twp. the son of Joseph Avicolli, Jr. and Linda Quint. He was raised in Wallingford and was a 1986 Graduate of Strath Haven High School. He has been a resident of Aston for the past 4 years. He was employed as a Meter Technician for CellNet. Michael was a loving father who was very proud of his two sons. Michael was an avid of fan of all Philadelphia Sports Teams but espically the 76er’s. He was an dedicated volunteer at the Media Children’s House in Aston. more…
